College hosts dedication ceremony for Schwab Financial Planning Center

FACS Dean Linda Kirk Fox and UGA President Jere Morehead, along with several faculty members from the department of financial planning, housing and consumer economics and representatives from the Charles Schwab Foundation, Signature FD, TrueWealth Management and Homrich Berg Wealth Management, helped the college celebrate the dedication of the Charles Schwab Financial Planning Center in April. Combined with support from UGA, the college and additional private funds, the renovation represents an investment of nearly $1 million and dramatically expands the space available for a program that is steadily growing in enrollment. The renovated space now includes three client interview rooms, a state-of-the-art observation lab for students to conduct and record financial planning and tax filing sessions as well as additional office space for graduate students and faculty.
